
Police have released more information on an accident that shut down a major roadway late last week.
Butler Township Police were called to south Benbrook road under the route 422 underpass Thursday just before 10 a.m. for two vehicle accident.
The accident happened after a FedEx delivery truck driven by 25-year-old Erik Lopez-Moreno of Pittsburgh was stopped by a road flagger. Moreno was then hit from behind by a vehicle drive by 24-year-old Jace Olexak.
After the collision Olexak’s vehicle went up an embankment and became stuck on a guide wire.
There were no injuries but it took crews an hour to clear the scene.
