We reported last week that the Butler County Commissioners approved the proposed opioid settlement through the state.
Now, Attorney General Josh Shapiro is announcing that 75 percent of counties in the Commonwealth have also agreed to join the global settlement.
Shapiro says Pennsylvania stands to bring in over $230 million next year to help fight opioid addiction.
According to officials, Butler will have $9 million coming into the county.
Shapiro also adds that while counties can decide how to utilize the money, it all must go to fighting opioid addiction.
