A new week means the start of more road construction projects in Butler County.
Beginning Monday, PennDOT says a portion of Brownsdale Road- between Valencia and Riebold roads- will be closed as crews begin a pipe replacement project in Penn Township.
The detour uses Valencia Road- to Union Church Road- to Mars Evans City Road- to Route 68 East- to Brownsdale Road. The road will be closed through mid-May.
Also starting today, there will be lane restrictions on Warrendale Road in Adams Township- between Route 228 and the Allegheny County line. Crews will patching the road and work should only last a few days.
PennDOT District 10’s Deborah Casadei urges drivers to travel safe in work zones. PennDOT is working with State Police in Butler to increase patrols in work zones. In some places, officers will be hidden inside utility vehicles to catch speeders or distracted drivers.
