All are welcome to an event at Moraine State Park this weekend that will help the local bat population.
On Saturday, participants will join Park Naturalists at 1 p.m. at the Moraine Outdoor Center on the North Shore to learn more about the impact bats have on our environment. Participants will then erect new bat nesting boxes at the park.
Participants are also encouraged to dress for the weather, and to allow for approximately 20 additional minutes to get to the Moraine Outdoor Center from exit 422.
For more information, call the park office at 724-368-8811.
