Those interested in learning more about native trees are invited to Moraine State Park later this week for an outdoor hike.
On Wednesday, participants will meet at 1 p.m. with park staff for a two hour walk in the Five Points area on the North Shore.
During the hike, participants will learn about tree identification in the winter using forestry techniques and tools.
Reservations are required for this family-friendly event by calling the park office. Those planning to attend are asked to dress for the weather and bring a drink or snack.
