In the PIAA baseball playoffs Monday, the Moniteau Warriors defeated Girard 5-3 in the Western Region first round. Moniteau will meet Riverside in the quarterfinals Thursday.
The Mars baseball team had their season ended last evening by Erie Cathedral Prep 13-2 in 5-innings under the 10-run rule.
In the PIAA softball first round: Moniteau shut-out Everett 6-0 and will face Ellwood City in the quarterfinals Thursday.
CW North Catholic was eliminated by Saegertown 9-5 in the Single-A first round.
