As some districts move to virtual learning in place of school days that used to be canceled due to weather concerns, at least one local district will continue with the practice of sticking with in-person learning.
In a letter to families earlier this week, Moniteau School District officials announced that traditional snow make-up days will be utilized if needed on Monday, February 21st, Thursday, April 14th, and Monday, April 18th.
This decision has been made as a result of the experience over the past two years in finding that an in-person learning environment is best suited to supporting students.
If Moniteau needs to use all three snow days, the district will revisit all available options to accommodate additional bad weather. The district will also continue to utilize two hour delays in an effort to keep students and staff safe.
