The Moniteau School District remains closed on Tuesday due to the ongoing power outages.
The district says the high school still does not have power. All afternoon and evening events scheduled for Tuesday are cancelled. School in Moniteau will resume after Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
Several public school districts in the county were forced to close last Friday and Monday due to the ongoing power outages.
Butler Area School District’s Superintendent Brian White said even though all of the Butler schools now have power, he realizes that some families are still without power in their homes.
If you don’t have power and are not prepared, or able, to send your student to school- or if your student needs to come late- you’re asked to send a note and the absence or tardy will be excused.
