The Major League Baseball All-Star game is tonight in Cincinnati. Four Pittsburgh Pirates are on the National League roster. Pirate outfielder Andrew McCutchen will bat lead-off as a starter tonight. Pitchers Gerrit Cole, A.J. Burnett and Mark Melancon are also on the roster. Zach Greinke of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Dallas Keuchel of the Houston Astros will be the starting pitchers.
Cincinnati third baseman Todd Frazier will bat after McCutchen, and won the annual Home Run Derby last night over Joc Pederson of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Frazier outlasted Pederson 15-14 in the finals in front of his hometown fans. The format featured a head-to-head match-up/elimination for the first time.
