The Mingle On Main Street events in Saxonburg will continue Thursday evening and tonight’s occasion will be very special.
Once a month this summer, the community has enjoyed a festive atmosphere along Main Street to have a chance to shop, eat and share time with each other.
That will happen again tonight, although this night will be called The Mayor’s Table. That means there will be big long tables outside along Main Street where you can sit, eat, and, yes, mingle.
The idea was brought to Saxonburg by the town’s late mayor Pam Bauman. She was very instrumental in organizing and promoting the idea of closing down Main Street for a short time, keeping businesses open, and offering consumers food options while community members and visitors enjoy the downtown area.
