People purchasing milk from Lawrence County recently should check the label.
According to the PA Department of Agriculture, some whole milk bottled by Pasture Maid Creamery in New Castle did not meet the requirement for pasteurization.
The milk has a best by date of February 5th and was sold in half gallon glass bottles as well as pint sized plastic bottles at both retail stores and on the farm.
If people have this milk they should discard it immediately. No other products manufactured by Pasture Maid are affected.
