Beginning next year, the City of Butler Parks, Recreation Grounds, and Facilities Authority plan to increase the price of tickets and renting Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park to keep up with rising costs.
The Authority approved several motions at their Monday night meeting that will go into effect in 2023 including an increase in BlueSox general admission tickets from $4 to $6 and box seats from $6 to $8. Tickets to non-BlueSox games will also increase from $3 to $4 for students and $5 to $6 for adults.
Beginning next year the Authority will increase the cost of field rental by $25 per game for every tier in their pricing system such as high school, college, and local tournaments. The cost for playing a game under the lights will also increase by $25 while scoreboard and announcer use fees will rise by $15 each per game.
The Authority previously raised some fees by a small amount this year but the amount they have to pay for expenses like utilities continues to increase. Also, many games had to be canceled earlier this spring as a result of weather. The price of some concession food could also be increased next year but the exact amount is not known at this time.
