Merle Haggard made a surprise appearance on the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday (October 17th) night, performing some of his most-loved hits including “Big City,” Silver Wings,” “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink,” and “The Fightin’ Side Of Me.” The legendary singer had a night off as he rolled through Nashville and wanted to honor the Opry’s 90th Anniversary celebration with a performance on the storied stage.
The Country Music Hall of Fame member is expected to begin his co-headlining Django and Jimmie tour with Willie Nelson tonight (Monday, October 19th) in Roanoke, VA with upcomin shows in Detroit, MI; Bloomington, IL; Pikeville, KY; Milwaukee, WI; and Green Bay, WI.
