PennDOT is pushing back a project that will result in part of Meridian Road closing.
Officials announced that the closure of Meridian Road from Smith Road to Railroad Street won’t begin until April 29th.
PennDOT says the delay is due to inclement weather.
During the repairs, crews will be working to remove part of the hillside for construction of a new road. Part of the road became undrivable following a landslide about two years ago.
The shutdown of Meridian Road will run from April 29 to Memorial Day.
