A local man faces various charges after assaulting two staff members at a local juvenile academy.
The Mercer State Police say that just before 8pm on Friday, 18-year-old Mario Moreno of Erie assaulted two staff members of the YES Academy in Coolspring Township.
Authorities say that Moreno struck both staff members, and in addition to head butting one of them. It is believed that Moreno lived at the academy.
Moreno was booked at the Mercer County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment.
