A Mercer County police officer and his son were killed as a result of a vehicle crash in Mercer County Thursday. .
According to State Police, 41-year-old Officer Jeremiah Christner of Greenville was traveling on Greenville Road in Salem Township early Thursday when he lost control of his vehicle rounding a bend. He spun into the opposing lane and hit a truck.
The 29-year-old truck driver, from Sharon, PA and his passenger, a 30-year-old man from Hubbard, Ohio, were injured. Their conditions are unknown.
Officer Christner was a 10-year veteran of the police force.
