A Mercer County man has pled guilty for his role in the Capitol riots.
37-year-old Matthew Perna of Sharpsville was charged with a felony during the breach of the Capitol building on January 6th.
Department of Justice officials say Perna entered the Capitol that afternoon by going through the Senate Wing door after barriers that were set up by police were breached.
Perna then stayed inside the Senate Wing lobby for 20 minutes taking video and chanting with the crowd.
He’s facing up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
