It’s something Cranberry Township has been doing for the past five years, but it could take on a deeper meaning this year.
People of all faiths will come together to celebrate the final night of the eight-day observance of Hanukkah with a menorah lighting in front of the Cranberry Township Municipal Center on Dec. 9.
Organizers say people from every faith and from every corner of the region are welcome. The event will come about two months after 11 people were gunned down at a synagogue in Pittsburgh.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. with food, games and music. The menorah lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m.
