While the Sprint Cup Series was idle over the weekend, Paul Menard won the X-Finity Series race in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin over Ryan Blaney. It was the series third road course race over the past four weeks. Rookie Erik Jones won the Camping World Truck Series race on Sunday at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, beating two-time defending series champion Matt Crafton to the checkered flag by one-point-six seconds to notch his second win of the season. The victory also gave Jones the championship point lead over Crafton by three points. Tyler Reddick entered the race with the point lead, but ended 19th after an accident, and fell 15 points back. The Camping World Truck Series will now enter a lengthy late-summer break in its schedule with the next action coming Friday night, September 18th, at Chicagoland Speedway.
