One of the venues for the 2024 Can-Am Police-Fire Games will be in the city of Butler.
Last week Butler City Council approved an agreement with the organizing committee of the games to allow for a bicycle race to be held at Memorial Park.
The event will also use shelters at the park and the city will receive $500 in compensation. This is one of more than 50 different venues across the county that will be hosting events as part of the games.
Butler County was selected to host the 2024 games that are an Olympic style event for Canadian and American members of law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS providers.
