The city of Butler will once again host a couple of bicycle races this year that could result in a donation to help maintain city parks.
Earlier this week City Council approved an agreement to allow JMac Cycling to use Memorial Park Drive in Memorial Park for races on April 26th and June 21st.
The events will not cost the city any money and the organizer has again pledged money to help with park development. Last year’s races went very well and resulted in a donation to the park improvement fund of about $1,000 as well as many people visiting from out of the area.
Spectators will be able to observe the race at no charge.
