McDonald’s restaurants are confirming that the E. Coli outbreak is now over.
Both the CDC and FDA confirmed that the outbreak has ended. The E. Coli outbreak was linked to slivered onions that were sold on burgers—however no cases were ever reported in the Pittsburgh area.
McDonald’s officials say they removed the onions from about 900 restaurants in late October. Since that time there have been no new cases.
