Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen has been named a 2015 Louisville Slugger Silver Slugger Award winner, the fourth straight year he has earned the prestigious honor.
McCutchen, who batted .292 with 23 home runs and a career-high-tying 96 RBIs on the season, ranked third in the National League with a .361 average with runners in scoring position, fourth in on-base percentage (.401) and seventh in on-base plus slugging (.889). He also put together a career-high 19-game hitting streak from June 21 thru July 11.
The Louisville Slugger Silver Slugger Award is presented annually to the best offensive player at each position, as determined by MLB coaches and managers.
