A former hedge fund manager and U.S. Treasury official is joining the race for Senate.
56-year-old David McCormick announced his bid for the Republican nomination late last week.
McCormick comes into the race with a lot of personal wealth and has already flooded the airwaves with TV commercials.
There are now nine publicly declared candidates in the Republican primary.
