The Republican candidate for governor is suing the committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riot.
Doug Mastriano filed the suit in federal court late last week. He argues that two of the committee members, Representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, are follower of ideologies inconsistent with the GOP.
He also alleges that the committee doesn’t have the authority to compel witnesses without a “properly appointed” Republican member’s approval.
Mastriano has refused to testify to this point in the committee’s investigation.
