Earlier this week a number of school district dropped the mask requirement on school buses.
However, the mask mandate is still in effect for public transportation.
The Butler Transit Authority says that masks are still required for all riders and drivers on the bus.
The mandate is under the authority of the Federal Transit Administration, which is requiring masks on all transportation networks until at least March 18th.
