Mary Anne (Varano) Henry, age 79, formerly of Butler, passed away Thursday afternoon at The Grove at Harmony.
Born July 3, 1937 in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Codispot Varano.
She previously attended St. Christopher Roman Catholic Church in Prospect, and St. Andrew Catholic Church in Butler.
Mary Anne retired as a cook from the former Morgan’s Diner in Butler. She enjoyed her grandchildren, crocheting, puzzles, cooking for family, and family get togethers. When her boys were younger, she would volunteer at the Prospect Boys Club where she was the President of Mother’s Club. She will be remembered for baking and donating snacks to the SR Football teams.
She is survived by her children James (Debbie) Henry of California; Timothy (Michele) Henry; Bruce (Sue Ann) Henry of Butler; David (Cindy) Henry of Butler; six grandchildren: Heather, Dawn, Andrew, Katelyn, Megan, Emily, Dee, Maddie; and her brother Patrick Varano of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter “Dick” Henry, her daughter Rose Marie Henry, her siblings Josephine Varano, Connie Cavalero, Rachel Northine, and Mickey Varano.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
