68 percent of Mars voters decided to vote in favor of granting liquor licenses for businesses to sell alcohol.
Mayor Gregg Hartung said multiple restaurants had shown interest in opening in downtown Mars if the law were repealed.
Mars Borough had been dry since prohibition.
