Students at a local school district are observing Red Ribbon Week with a variety of themed days.
Red Ribbon Week begins Monday and runs through Friday in the Mars Area School District.
Students at Mars high school and elementary schools will be wearing red Monday for ‘Rally in Red’ day to bring attention against students doing drugs. Other theme days include wearing bright colors, silly socks, sports team apparel and hats.
Students at Mars Area Middle School are also participating in Red Ribbon Week but their themes are different including highlighting topics such as bullying, drugs and kindness. Students there will be wearing pajamas or comfy clothes on Monday, as well as favorite musicians, superheroes, patriotic clothes or sports team apparel later in the week.
