A group of Butler County students are asking for help from the voting public to advance in a regional contest.
Eighth grade students at Mars Area Middle School have produced a video as part of the 2020 Pittsburgh “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing” student video contest.
The video is a profile of the Leetsdale-based Schroeder Industries which designs, manufactures, and markets hydraulic systems. Students filmed a short video at the company in November and have been editing their footage.
Catalyst Connection sponsors the annual contest, which reinforces STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) education and gives students an inside look at the various career opportunities available in manufacturing.
Through Friday (2/14), the public can see and vote for the Mars team’s video on the “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing” website.
