A local school is holding a fundraiser to benefit a worthy cause.
The Mars Area Middle School’s Community Service Committee is raising money for the MIRA Foundation through Monday.
Seventh and eighth graders can buy frozen fruit bars for $2 each during lunch. A portion of funds raised will go toward providing guide dogs for visually impaired kids.
Monetary donations can be dropped off at the school’s main office during school hours. Checks should be made payable to “MIRA Foundation”.
