A Butler County man will face charges in Allegheny County for a situation with a will.
According to a police criminal complaint provided by the Allegheny County District Attorney, 43-year-old James Porro of Mars is being charged with misusing his position as an executor of a family estate in order to steal from the estate.
After Porro’s mother died in 2009, he was named as the executor of the more than $400,000 estate which should have been divided between three heirs. A spokesman for the Allegheny County DA believes that the amount stolen is at least $30,000 but could be as much as $100,000.
Porro surrendered himself to District Attorney Detectives Thursday morning and is awaiting arraignment.
