Boys Lacrosse:
–Mars fell 12-11 in overtime to Strath Haven Tuesday in the PIAA 2A semifinals. It was the second straight year the Planets were eliminated in the semifinals. No team from the WPIAL has won a state title.
Boys Volleyball:
–North Allegheny has reached the state championship game in 3A after a 3-2 victory over Central York Tuesday. It was a rematch of last year’s state championship, which Central York won. N.A. will play in the title match Saturday at Penn State.
