The investigation continues into a threat discovered at Mars High School earlier this week.
According to Superintendent Dr. Wesley Shipley, an unspecified message was found written on a boys’ restroom wall Monday around 1 p.m. Students were evacuated from the High School to the Middle School, where they were later dismissed. Evening activities were also cancelled on Monday.
Police officers with the Adams and Middlesex Township departments were called in to search the building and grounds but found nothing.
Shipley explained that administrators are watching video surveillance and interviewing students as part of their investigation. Once the person or people responsible are caught, Shipley said they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and school discipline. This is the first threat of this kind that Mars has had to deal with this school year.
