April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and a local school district is creating awareness with a special observance later this week.
All students and staff members of the Mars Area School District are encouraged to wear the color blue on Friday to honor a commitment to preventing child abuse.
April was first designated as National Child Abuse Prevention Month in 1983.
