The Mars Area School Board is seeking proposals for contracted Custodial, Paraprofessional and Secretarial services.
The board made the decision at their meeting Tuesday night as contract negotiations with district-employed support staff have stalled. Support staff have been without a contract for the past year.
Superintendent Dr. Wesley Shipley said getting proposals could help with negotiations to determine a going rate for those services.
Mars employs around 95 total support staff employees.
