It is Read Across America Week- and many local students will be participating in events.
Students at Mars Area Centennial and Elementary Schools will enjoy themes for each day of the week. Monday is Reading Jogs the Mind Day and kids can wear exercise clothes to school. Tuesday is “Snuggle Up and Read” Day with students encouraged to wear their pajamas. Other themes include “Read Your Shirt” Day, “Surfs Up for Reading” Day and “Book Character” Day.
Students at Mars Area Primary Center will also participate by taking a field trip to the Mars Area Public Library on Tuesday and Thursday as well as enjoying a magician and storyteller on Wednesday.
