Students at the Mars Area School District are holding several collections this week.
First, a food drive to benefit local families in need is being held from Monday (10/31) through Tuesday, November 15 at Mars Area Elementary School. Non-perishable food items can be donated at the school’s main office during school hours.
Mars Area High School and Primary Center are holding a “Bundle Up Butler” Winter Clothing and Coat Drive through Friday, November 11th. New and gently used coats, hats, gloves, boots, scarves, and blankets will be collected then distributed to Butler County residents through the Center for Community Resources.
Finally, the Mars Area Primary Center will be collecting unwanted Halloween candy Tuesday (11/1) through Friday (11/4). Candy must be in original wrappers and unopened. Donations benefit the Lighthouse Foundation food bank in Middlesex Township.
