Kelly Automotive Park in the City of Butler has a variety of needs requiring attention and money before it will be ready for another season of baseball.
Stadium Manager Larry Sassone took members of the Butler City Parks, Recreation Grounds, and Facilities Authority for a tour around the park before the monthly meeting Monday night.
Among the items referenced by Sassone was an ongoing need for broken seat replacement, garbage cans updated and replaced, skirting in the backstop and near the dugouts needing repaired, leaking sprinkler heads in the outfield, weed maintenance on the warning track, and constant turf wear out.
The synthetic infield turf is nine years old and Sassone estimates that it will last a maximum of five more years before needing to be replaced entirely.
