A Butler man will head to court for a preliminary hearing Monday on charges that he tried to grab a Butler City Police officer’s gun.
It took five officers to subdue 36-year-old Matthew Fleeger after he went for the officer’s gun inside a Marathon convenience store. He tried to grab it from the officer’s holster while she was standing in line at the register.
The officer fought him off until backup arrived.
The incident was captured on the store’s surveillance video. No one was hurt.
