A man wanted in Florida on kidnapping charges was arrested in Butler last week after police say he fired a gun into the air near a group of kids.
Charles Hartman Jr., 23, who has no known address, was charged by Butler City Police following an incident in mid-May on East Jefferson Street.
Police allege Hartman fired a revolver into the air around 7:30 p.m. on May 14, endangering a group of people including juveniles. During their investigation, officers found Hartman was wanted in Florida for kidnapping and that he had an extensive criminal history.
He is being held in the Butler County Prison.
