Police are looking for an Allegheny County man accused of running a fake deck building company.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 42-year-old Noah Proud of Plum. According to State Police, he has scammed several customers in multiple counties through his business Pittsburgh Custom Decks.
He allegedly took thousands of dollars in down payments after providing plans to build decks but never started any work. Police say this scam has been going on since at least March.
Trooper Brian Knirnschild of the Butler State Police believes there are several residents in Butler County who have been affected, including a Forward Township customer.
“Complaints have been filed from residents in quite a few different counties,” Knirnschild said in an interview Tuesday.
If you know the whereabouts of Proud you’re asked to call state police at 724-284-8100.
