Butler is the latest stop on a man’s journey across the country by bike.
Bob Quick is driving across the country west to east and intended to stay over at the Butler City fire station Thursday night but was forced to stay at the Pilot Travel Center off Route 422 in Portersville (Muddycreek Township) after his bike got two flat tires.
He plans to stop by the fire department Friday.
Quick survived a massive heart attack 12 years ago and has since decided to bike across the country to increase awareness of autism. Quick is raising money to buy iPads for autistic children.
