A 50-year-old Butler man is facing a list of charges after he led local police on a chase last week that injured a State Trooper.
According to our news partners at WPXI, authorities attempted to stop David Coleman near the area of Hansen Avenue and Renaissance Drive around 4:39pm on Friday. However, Coleman refused to stop and fled the scene.
Butler City Police then pursued Coleman while Butler Township and State Police set up a road block on Whitestown Road near South Duffy Road to assist.
Coleman, whose passenger was a 13-year-old boy, then slammed head-on into a marked State Police vehicle. Following the crash, a Trooper was then taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The teen was not injured in the crash.
Coleman faces charges of fleeing and eluding, aggravated assault, driving under the influence, and endangering the welfare of children.
