A man posing as a utility worker has been going door-to-door, peeking into homes in southern Butler County.
According to our news partners at WPXI-TV, a man knocked on a Callery Borough home Wednesday, claiming to be with West Penn Power.
The homeowner said the man didn’t look like he was with the power company. He wasn’t in a uniform, and didn’t have a name tag or lanyard on.
The resident saw the man a second time in the same neighborhood, dressed in all black and peeking into windows.
Local and state police say the man is a fraud. West Penn Power also confirmed that he’s not an electric company employee.
