An Allegheny County man has entered a guilty plea in connection with an incident with Buffalo Township police nearly three years ago.
55-year-old Frankie Morrison of Braddock Hills pleaded guilty to three counts of violations of federal gun laws.
According to the Department of Justice, Morrison was observed by a Buffalo Township Police officer to be reaching into a vehicle at 3 a.m. in April of 2018. When police attempted to speak with him, Morrison allegedly ran from the area and later attempted to drive away.
After police stopped Morrison’s vehicle, they found multiple stolen items including two Glock pistols, ammunition, and handcuffs that had been stolen from a vehicle belonging to a recently retired Pittsburgh Police officer.
Morrison was on probation for an incident of armed bank robbery at the time of this incident and could face to up to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced in June.
