Police in Butler Township responded to the McDonalds restaurant in the Butler Commons plaza in Butler where a man reportedly made threats to the patrons inside the restaurant.
The restaurant is located just off of New Castle road near Hindman Road and the incident happened just before 5 p.m. Friday.
Multiple police units responded to the scene where the suspect was placed in police custody and was transported to Butler Hospital for a psychological evaluation.
There are no reports of any injuries to anyone at the restaurant.
