A man was found shot dead inside a car near a funeral home in New Castle Sunday.
Police say it happened about 8 p.m. at the intersection of Walnut and Chestnut streets, near the Charlotte A. Sheffield Funeral Home.
Neighbors said they heard gunshots but thought they were fireworks.
Officers have not identified the victim.
