Original Story
An unidentified woman is facing charges after she dragged her boyfriend down a Cranberry Township roadway late last week.
According to our news partners at WPXI, the suspect and her boyfriend were involved in a domestic dispute on Friday afternoon. Then around 4:30pm, authorities responded to a call regarding an injured man on Cross Creek Drive near Rochester Road.
Authorities say that the call came after the woman hit the man with her vehicle, and was seen dragging the man for nearly half of a mile. Construction crews attempted to stop the woman; however, she made no attempt to stop after her boyfriend fell to the ground.
A medical helicopter flew the man, who sustained serious head injuries, to a Pittsburgh hospital. He was listed in critical condition.
Police say the suspect will likely be charged with driving under the influence and aggravated assault by vehicle, among other charges.
