An employee from MMC Land Management is out of a job after being caught on camera making racial slurs at an individual outside a drilling site in Mars just before Christmas.
According to our news partners, WPXI-TV, John Pisone was let go from his job with MMC after a photographer caught him on camera making the comments to the photographer, who is African-American.
A couple of peaceful protesters were in front of the site when Pisone arrived and according to one protestor, started harassing them. Then Pisone turned his comments on the photographer who caught the whole thing on video. The video was posted to the online video site, You Tube and since Pisone says he has received death threats.
MMC Land Management posted a statement expressing their ‘disgust’, as written on the posting, in which they say they learned that this happened after work hours at a location they have no affiliation with. They say the company does not condone hate speech.
